I’ve gathered up some of my favorite baby items for this blog post.
WARNING: This post may cause baby fever.
I don’t think I want another baby, but damn, this stuff is so cute it sure makes me consider having one more!!
BURRITO BABY SWADDLES
As if you didn’t want to eat up a new baby already, this will make it even harder to resist! These burrito baby swaddles are hilarious and adorable. SHOP HERE by Mirando Brand
PERSONALIZED BLOCKS & UNIQUE WOODEN TEETHERS/TOYS
Little Sapling Toys has the cutest selection of wooden teethers, toys, and blocks. Personalized blocks that spell baby’s name would be a lifelong keepsake. I really like the idea of finding a teether that fits perfectly with the family, for example the guitar for musicians, the castle for Disney lovers, the airplane for a pilot’s baby, etc. There’s seriously SO many cute ones to choose from!! SHOP HERE by Little Sapling Toys
Who doesn’t love sloths? Exactly. These super soft, handmade sloths are perfect for little ones to cuddle with. And they’re super duper adorable. SHOP HERE by Slumberkins
These milestone blankets by BatzKids are such a great way to photograph and treasure those special milestones. There’s so many to choose from, including age blankets, monthly milestones, first holidays, and even a monthly pregnancy blanket. SHOP HERE by BatzKids
Another great product to track milestones are these milestone cards! There’s a lot to choose from, and they are all super cute. SHOP HERE by Milestone
If you haven’t heard of DockATot yet, then you’re missing out! (From what I hear, at least.) I always read rave reviews about this product. Basically, this little spot is designed to help your baby sleep like…well…a baby! I wish I had known about it with my littles. SHOP HERE by DockATot
SHOPPING CART HAMMOCK
I’m not going to lie, these shopping cart hammocks look too good to be true! What a great little invention. Putting a car seat in the front of a shopping cart is frowned upon because it can be dangerous, and putting it in the back takes up the entire cart. I would have loved one of these when my kids were little! SHOP HERE by Binxy Baby
I am obsessed with these Moses baskets! They are seriously the perfect little spot for a new baby to sleep. Bassinets take up a lot of room, and are hard to move around. I would have loved one of these for my babies. SHOP HERE by Plum + Sparrow
Baby books have been around for forever, but they’ve never been as cute as they are today! These adorable Baby’s First Year books are so unique and modern. SHOP HERE by Lucy Darling
MULTI-USE NURSING COVER
I actually own a Covered Goods nursing cover, and still use it even though I am done nursing! This cover not only acts as a traditional nursing cover, but it also functions has a carseat cover, shopping cart cover, and a scarf! SHOP HERE by Covered Goods
Baby-wearing is a new-mom NECESSITY! I didn’t master the art of baby-wearing with Cash, mostly because I didn’t find a carrier that I loved/felt comfortable with. Thankfully I discovered Solly Baby wraps before having Sawyer, and it ended up being a lifesaver! I love that it’s very lightweight and breathable, and holds baby super close and snug to your body. SHOP HERE by Solly Baby
These are my favorite unique gifts. I hope this came in handy with your registry or the next baby shower you’ll be attending! I’m sure I’m missing some other amazing unique gifts on here, so if there’s any that you recommend, LET ME KNOW!!
Instagram stories has been a game changer for business accounts on Instagram. I know that a lot of business owners are struggling with the algorithm changes, “shadow banning”, and new business settings. Many are fearful that Instagram will soon be like Facebook, as far as business pages go. This means that businesses will most likely have to pay if they want their posts to be seen. While I totally understand why Instagram would do this (very smart business move on their end), it is already proving to be very harmful to small business accounts that are trying to promote their products.
Thankfully, Instagram threw small businesses a bone, and came out with Instagram stories. I highly recommend taking advantage of this tool and use it to it’s full potential.
Here are some of my tips for using Instagram stories for your business (or blog).
1. DIRECT FOLLOWERS TO OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
Stories is a great place to promote your other social media platforms such as Pinterest and Facebook. I created a couple photos that can be used in your stories, that you can save and use! Once you upload them to your stories be sure to add the URL, example: pinterest.com/britt_kav For the mailing list photo, be sure to add directions for how to join your mailing list. (Tap each photo, tap + hold to save to your phone.)
2. DIRECT FOLLOWERS TO YOUR LATEST INSTAGRAM POST
A lot of times Instagram will burry your post, and a good majority of your followers won’t even see it. (Thanks a lot, new algorithm!) Using stories to direct followers to your latest post can be a great tool to help boost your views. Screen shotting your page and posting an arrow to your post is one way to send them there. Example:
(My phone is on the charger. Don’t judge me.)
Put a sticker over your post to get your followers interested in what it is! (SoOooO mysterious.)
You could also post something like this (feel free to save and use these):
The arrow points to your profile picture, which can be clicked on. 😉
3. INCLUDE EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT CODES
Creating a custom discount code exclusively for people who watch your stories is a great way to see how many sales you’ve gained just from your story viewers. You could even make it fun and have a “Happy Hour Sale”, and delete the story once the sale is over. This will also encourage people to keep an eye on your stories.
4. LET YOUR FOLLOWERS GET TO KNOW YOU
Instagram stories has been a great way for business owners & bloggers to open up with their followers and allow them to get a glimpse into their life/home/office/etc. I didn’t know the face behind a lot of shops until Instagram stories launched. Customers love to know who they are buying from. Make sure to stay professional, remember…there are some things your followers DON’T want/need to see. (Trust me, I’ve unfollowed some pages because of their stories.)
5. GO LIVE
The newest Instagram feature is the ability to go LIVE! Something about watching other people live is just so fascinating. One advantage is the fact that your followers will be notified that you are live. I suggest planning out exactly what you are going to talk about, or at least have some sort of idea, because it can be easy to lose your train of thought. (And it can be quite intimidating.) Use the LIVE tool to engage with your followers, allow them to ask you questions, or use it to ask them questions! (Examples: what items they love, what they want more of, where they’re from, etc.)
I would love to hear if this post was helpful to you, or if you have some of your own suggestions/helpful tips!
PinchMe sent me a ton of free samples, and you can get some also! All you have to do is create an account, and once you receive your items just go and leave your reviews of each item you received.
I love these types of boxes because: A. They’re freeeee, and B. I am a creature of habit, so this is a great way for me to try new products that I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

You need to throw away your toxic feminine hygiene products, because there are non-toxic products available!
I know it seems like just about everything causes cancer these days, or contains an ingredient that might cause cancer, so it can be difficult deciding which things you’re going to risk using and which things you’re going to ditch. When it comes to things I put in my body, like food, I *try* to eat mostly organic, healthy foods.
Within the last couple years or so I read up on how extremely toxic tampons and pads are, and it made me feel all gross inside. When I first read about how bad they are I looked into alternatives such as “The Diva Cup” and that period underwear (Spanx or something?)…neither looked appealing to me. I just wanted a tampon that wasn’t toxic!!
Thankfully, with being pregnant and nursing the last four years I hadn’t had a period until just a few months ago. (TMI? Sorry…kinda.) So, once Aunt Flow came back I just used up the tampons that were sitting in my cupboard, waiting for her return.
Then I was introduced to LOLA. Lola carries 100% ORGANIC cotton tampons and pads. *Angel choir singing.*
NOT ONLY are they 100% organic, (which means no toxins, dyes, synthetic additives), but they DELIVER. Straight to your door. And you can sign up to have them be delivered to you once a month. *Angel choir sings again.*
I can’t even tell you the amount of times I have started my period and had only a tampon or two (if that) on hand, and had to make my husband run to the drug store to grab me more. (Husbands love doing that, I’m sure he’ll miss it.)
As you can tell, I am super stoked on Lola. Who knew tampons and pads could make me so excited??
If you guys want to try them out (why wouldn’t you?), then you’re in luck because I have a 60% off code for you to use! It expires May 31st 2017, so don’t wait. The code is: BRITTKAV
Order from mylola.com
You will not be disappointed.

I’ve started to see a lot of these meal delivery services start to pop up, and they all look really great, I’m interested in trying them…but I worry that my kids won’t like anything that’s included.
I was just introduced to a local company called Mini Fresh, which is similar to those meal delivery services that I mentioned, BUT they actually cater to babies, kids, and moms! My favorite thing about the company is the fact that they offer 100% organic food, and it’s all FRESH. They guarantee delivery twice a week, and everything is delivered within 5 hours of being cooked and packaged.
They are located in Phoenix and deliver locally at the moment, but they plan on expanding, so hopefully they can make it to your area soon if you aren’t in the Phoenix area!
Read more about their mission HERE.
I tried a bite of everything that was delivered, and it was all really tasty. (And I swear I’m not just saying that!!!) Those energy bites are full of so many great ingredients, but when I read them before tasting it I thought to myself “that cannot taste good…”, but it actually did. It tasted GREAT! And my kids thought they were cookies. Ha!
I gave the kids these trays for an early morning breakfast picnic. I heated up the veggie quiche (which was delicious) on a separate plate and then put it back in the tray.
That little oat bit (top right corner) was my personal favorite (lol), I took a bite and wanted the whole thing.
Give them a try if you’re an AZ local! Click HERE to browse their website.
I have always been interested in those monthly beauty box subscriptions, I just never pulled the trigger on signing up for one. There are a lot of different ones to chose from, which makes it hard to decide which one to choose!
I recently received my first beauty box, and it was from Beautycon. I was pleasantly surprised by the full size products, and the variety of items inside.
The box includes name brands such as Too Faced, Garnier, and L’oreal.
My favorite items were the Lippie Stick by ColourPop, the bronzer by Too Faced, and the highlighter by Artist Couture. I truly loved every item in the box though, and will use every single product.
Another goodie that came in the box was this botanic fiber facial mask , which was so refreshing! I think I’m going to have to stock up on these.
While I don’t have any other subscription boxes to compare it to, I do think that this one stands out among the ones I’ve heard about as far as the brands & sizes of products it offers.
The cool thing about getting a beauty box is that is likes a little surprise for yourself! You know it’s coming, but you don’t know exactly what will be inside.
If you decide to grab a box for yourself, be sure to use my code BRITTKAVWINTER for 15% off your total.

So, I was just introduced to an amazing trendy online clothing boutique called Pink Blush! I am pretty bummed that I never knew about Pink Blush when I was pregnant, because they carry a large variety of adorable and affordable maternity items. I always had a difficult time finding maternity clothes that didn’t look like typical pregnancy pieces. I often settled for sizing up in non-maternity items for that reason.
While Pink Blush seems to focus on pregnancy clothing, they do offer a non-maternity women’s line as well. However, a lot of their maternity line is so transitional that anyone could wear it, pregnant or not! In fact, the item I chose from their website was in their maternity section.
You can find this top here. (Although, it says it’s almost gone…so hurry!)
I am in love with this shirt for multiple reasons, such as the length, the fit, and the quality! Like I had mentioned, this shirt is actually in their maternity section, but it still fits me perfectly! And if I ever happen to get pregnant again… 😉
Pink Blush also offers accessories, swimwear, and baby items.
Had to include this photo of Sawyer trying to escape, because, well…#momlife.
I am very happy with my item from Pink Blush, and will definitely be back for more.
I hope you guys go check out ShopPinkBlush.com and find some trendy items to add to your closet!

Yesterday we explored Phoenix. We live in the west valley, so downtown Phoenix is only about 20-30 minutes from our house. We love going down there to check out new places to eat and shop at. Logan and I would love to live in the heart of downtown, but unfortunately it is just way too expensive! In fact- last night I was browsing 3 bedroom apartments and found one that looked somewhat affordable but too good to be true. So, we called to verify the price, and…well…the price that was listed was actually PER ROOM. So TRIPLE the price that we thought was reasonable. HA! So we will just have to accept the 20 minute drive [for now].
Anyways, one place that we love to stop at for some coffee is The Teapot. It’s very kid-friendly, and the large backyard area with the playground is perfect for beautiful days like yesterday. [The high was in the 70’s]
I took some photos of the kids playing there. We got there about an hour before they closed [they close at 2 P.M.] so we had the place to ourselves. 🙂
Cash having fun on the playground.
We got a hummus + veggie + pita bread tray, along with a fruit cup. The kids approved.
The kids never want to leave!
Soy Bean had to check out these pretty plants before getting into the car.
Until next time!
So many things to check out downtown. I will have to try to document some more good Phoenix-finds!
I haven’t owned a watch in years, mostly because I haven’t found one that fits my style. I am not into anything flashy, and I feel like when it comes to watches you don’t want to skimp out and settle with something cheap.
I was recently introduced to Daniel Wellington watches. I immediately fell in love with their simplicity and sophistication.
I like to read up on how companies were started, and I thought the story behind the brand was pretty cool. The owner, Filip Tysander, essentially thought that there was room in the market for preppy affordable watches. He ran into a sophisticated & well dressed Englishman named Daniel Wellington, who happen to be wearing a Rolex. This inspired him to start up his own watch company with $24,000 of his own money.
The brand has been a great success, to say the least!
I recently received the classic black with rose gold Cornwall watch, and it is my new favorite accessory. It pairs perfectly with this DW rose gold band.
The black + rose gold match my wardrobe perfectly.
I also really love the size of the face, it’s perfect even on my tiny wrist!
Check out more DW watches here.
And if you decide to order, use code BRITTKAV15 for 15% off. Hurry though, this discount expires soon!

Shopping online has become one of my favorite things to do since having kids. It’s so hard to round up the troops and head to the mall, and even when I have attempted to shop with the kids it’s not like I’m ever able to focus on shopping.
I love that I’m able to find some of the best deals online, as opposed to in stores.
Daily deal sites are popping up like crazy, which is great for my wallet. (And my sanity!) One that has been around for a while, and has held up a good reputation is Jane.com
I recently did some shopping there and I was amazed at how much stuff they offer! The best part is that it’s all super affordable.
I ordered a pair of boots for $25.99 BUY BOOTS HERE
There were so many style and color options, which made it hard to choose. I seriously wanted all of them!!
The boots are great quality, look just like the photo, and they shipped out quickly.
I also ordered this striped dress. IT HAS POCKETS! Dresses with pockets are my favorite.
This dress was only $19.99. It’s boutique quality and would easily be sold for $35+ at other stores. This item also arrived looking just like the photo and it shipped out quickly. There are other color and style options as well. BUY DRESSES HERE
It’s so soft and cozy.
So, my last order was only for these two items…I used extreme self-control and didn’t go crazy buying all the cute things available on jane.com. It was a difficult task. Ha!
If you’re looking for home-decor, accessories, clothing, baby stuff, or just about anything, then I definitely recommend browsing Jane before heading out to the store.
My Jane Review:
Pros: Fast shipping, wide variety of products, good quality items, and an easy-to-navigate website.
